The word “NFT” is being circulated in cryptocurrency lobbies and online communities more than ever, and the Google searches for this particular word have increased considerably. So what are non-fungible tokens and what are the reasons behind their growth?

Let’s say you own a pair of Air Jordan signed by the man himself, and the same pair of sneakers is sold in a retail store for a specific market price. The ones with the signature are worth way more than the ones in the retail store. NFTs carry the same weight, but in the digital world.

Now let’s get into the good stuff. Many questions were raised on why one of the most played FPS games of all times and NFTs are crossing paths.

Where will NFTs fit in the world of Call of Duty? How much will NFTs be valued at in the FPS world?

Those questions were answered by @Diamondcon_ himself. Having played first-person shooting games while growing up to becoming one of the most anticipated COD players, he certainly knows what it is like to spend your hard-earned money on a game that will eventually be outdated.

Diamondcon’s Play

The answer is NFTs. Based in Toronto, @Diamondcon_ is reaching new heights with his team Subliners, who are on the path of becoming one of the top Call of Duty players in the world. There is no better player to be the first to have his kill shot clips signed and sold as crypto assets. His followers will be able to bid, trade and auction his clips depending on their value.

Other markets have already ventured into NFTs and made millions. A while ago, musician Grimes sold some of her digital art for more than $6m. This comes as no surprise, especially since she’s the wife of Elon Musk. Jack Dorsey, found of Twitter, promoted an NFT of the first-ever tweet with bids hitting $2.5m. It’s not long before FPS players start doing the same, and who better to start this trend other than @Diamondcon_. The gaming industry has once again proven that it can exceed all expectations. At one point, gaming was nothing but a headache for parents, and now there are e-sport universities. With billions of Dollars being spent in gaming, I wouldn’t be surprised if a Call of Duty NFT becomes the most valuable crypto asset in the world.
